Stadtturm / City Tower

The Stadtturm, or City Tower, is a prominent Gothic structure in Innsbruck's historic center, located at Herzog-Friedrich-Straße 21. Constructed between 1442 and 1450, it originally served as a watchtower where guards would alert citizens to dangers such as fires. Visitors can ascend 133 steps to reach the 31-meter-high viewing platform, offering panoramic views of the city's medieval streets and surrounding landmarks, including the Bergisel, Patscherkofel mountain, the River Inn, and the Nordkette mountain range.
